Official Game Summary

Shorthanded Guppies Buried By Avs 12-2!

Glastonbury, CT April 22, 2010. ZRink - Killingworth Guppies Spring 2010 season.

4/22/2010- The Guppies had more players not playing in the game than they did playing in the game.  Guppies healthy scratches included Brian Kelly, Keith Millen and rob Murphy. The other players on the roster were listed as "Did Not Play, Coach's Decision," Brian Blair, Brian Mulcahy and Jason Zito.  Team spokesman, Larry Melrose had no comment about the 3 "DNP, CD."  That left the Guppies with a five man squad (Armenia, Crayton, Pequita, Poulin and Stevenson) and Andy Petola getting the start in net.  Veteran forward Dave Armenia was overheard discussing line combinations with Assistant Captain Marc Crayton, and Crayton said, "look Dave, we've got 5 guys, a lot of guys are going to have to double, triple and quadruple shift and sometimes play out of position."  That's exactly what the Guppies did. The Avalanche scored a lot and the Guppies did not score that much. The Guppies scoring summary is short and sweet, Poulin (1-1-2), from Crayton (0-2-2) (primary assist) and Pequita (1-1-2) (secondary assist) and Pequita from Poulin (primary assist) and Crayton (secondary assist).

The Guppies play this Thursday @ 8PM at the Z.

SIDE NOTES:

- Rob Murphy, Brian Kelly, Keith Millen, Brian Blair and Brian Mulcahy were healthy scratches

- Avs have had luck on their side in recent games with the Gupps. In their last two meetings the Guppies have had a depleted roster, giving the Avs a great opportunity to roll the fish. Its all about the schedule!

- Poor Andy Pettola got the call to sub for the Guppies and was thrown into the fire. His effort held the Guppies in the game for as long as possible

-No Box score this week because there was no stat sheet, sorry kids!
