Official Game Summary

Glastonbury, CT June 19, 2007. ZRink - Killingworth Guppies Summer 2007 season.

06/19/2007- First off let me apologize for the delay on this Game Recap. We have been painting the office this past week and things have been a mess. To make matters worse there was no game sheet last week! So, here it is a week later, I have no game sheet and for a guy that struggles to remember every play on that particular game night, well lets just say there is no chance in hell I remember everything that happened last Tuesday. Below is what I do remember.

The Guppies opened up an early 5-1 lead on the Spartans. The Guppies clearly controlled the play early on, however, the Spartan's are a very young team and as the game wore on they mounded a huge come back. The Fish watched their comfortable 5-1 lead turn into a 5-5 tie. The Gupps managed to pull ahead again only to watch the Spartans equal their tally knotting the game at 6. Many fans, and some Guppie players, believe the young team from Sparta  was  only 1 maybe 2 more players away from beating our beloved team. However, with only 5 skaters the Spartans went on to lose this battle 8-6.

The Guppies face off against the UConn Huskies Tuesday night at 10pm.

SIDE NOTES:

- Dave Armenia was a healthy scratch.

- Mike Halle returned to the Guppies line up Tuesday night. His last game in Guppies Blue was on 9/5/2006
