Guppies Filet Blades 11-1

Glastonbury, CT May 19, 2005. ZRink - Killingworth Guppies Spring 2005 season.

May 19, 2005 - I'm not going to lie to you folks there isn't much to write about this week. When less then three minutes into a game the Guppies are up 6-0 it's going to be a short night on the Dek. Guppies defensman Dan Pequita was less than 5 minutes late to the game, and it was 7-0 when he jumped on to the Dek. Craig Zito (5-2-7) and Tim Poulin (3-5-8) lead the way for the Guppies. Marc Crayton was in net for the Gupps as Linskey was unable to play since last weekends Express Invitational. John Carroll (1-1-2) and Mike Halle (1-3-4) rounded out the Guppies scoring as they mercied the Blades in just under 15 minutes of play.

After the game the Guppies used the open Deck for an 3 on 3 game. The Team of Kelly, Pequita, and JZ beat Carroll, Poulin, and C. Zito 3-2!

The Guppies face off next week against Evil Sports at 7pm. This Game is sold out. Guppies playoff tickets go on sale next Friday (5/27) at 800am. Tickets will be in great demand, all tickets are sold on a first come basis, however, Season Ticket holders will have preference.

 

SIDE NOTES:

- Thursday night Scratches: Linskey: Upper Body injury; Murphy: Nose Rash; Armenia: Tonsils!

- The Guppies will face off against Evil Sports next week. The winner will secure first place in the playoffs. The Gupps are 9-0, while Evil Sports is 8-1!

- Marc "Styles" Crayton played his final game in the Gupps net. With the Guppies moving to Puck next season Crayton will be unable to be the Guppies #2. Since 2001 Crayton has posted a 12-2-0 Record.
