- Guppies Move to Puck B-2 for Fall 2005
The Killingworth Guppies have announced that they will be fielding a team for the Fall 2005 season. The Guppies have reached an agreement with the ZRink staff to move the team from Puck C to Puck B2. Some Players seemed to be concerned with the move "Man my stats took a hit when we moved to Puck C now we're moving to Puck B2? Kelly must really hate me!" stated Joe Linskey "He added if I see him (Kelly) on Defense I'm going to lose it, maybe we can Legolie to play out" Jason Zito was happy to hear the news "I think it will be a great challenge for our team!"
-Pequita is Out for The Fall 2005 Season, Poulin May Not be Far Behind
Dan Pequita has notified the Guppies front office that he will not be able to play with the team for the Fall 2005 season. Pequita sighted a work conflict as the major reason for his decision. Dan also added that he "hopes to be in the line up" for the Spring 2006 season. Pequita has been a solid presence since his arrival to the team in 2003. What about Poulin? No one is sure what Poulin's story is? He has yet to notify the Guppies front office if he plans on playing this Fall. Guppies team spokesman Shasta McNasty "We are waiting to hear from Tim, but we will have to make a move soon"
-Guppies to Retire Pete Fink's #9
The Killingworth Guppies have announced that they will look to retire Pete Fink's #9 in a pre-game ceremony sometime in November. A specific game was not mentioned but the Guppies hope to have everything finalized when the Fall season schedule is released. Fink is a co-founder of the Guppies organization and a member of the Guppies 1996 and 1998 Championship Teams. Pete also, was the Guppies first goaltender, making his debut in the Guppies Inaugural game. However, he was quickly moved to forward after the Guppies signed Chris Roman later that season. Not known for his strong play in the defensive zone, Fink was often found at or near the top of the Guppies Stats Page. Upon hearing that the Guppies were retiring Fink's # former players Steven Fink (Pete's elder Brother) and Tom Mierkiewicz were quoted as saying "What the F-!". Fink's #9 will join Greg Bousquet's #99, Timothy Gessner's #5, and Joel Burzenski's #8 in the Guppies Hall of Fame.
